Ghana Visa Tips

In order to prevent unnecessary delays and disappointment, with visa applications of your trip to Ghana, it is always advisable to do your due delegence 2-3 weeks, before you make your trip.

Here are some tips to help you save time, and get things expedited.

  • Does your passport have enough validity(at least 6months) for the period of your stay in Ghana?
  • What is the state of your passport? If it appears that some part(s) seems to be tempered with, I'm afraid get it replaced immediately.
  • Always use photos not more than three months old, from the day taken.
  • Always complete visa forms in BLACK ink and always with Upper case letters.
  • Answer all questions pertaining to you. Use N/A if not applicable.
  • Make sure all signatory fields on the application forms are signed.

Customs, Excise & Preventive Services

Strict laws prohibit the import of P
ornographic materials, weapons, and drugs in to the Ghana, and the penalties are severe.

Alcohol cannot be imported without an official license, if imported without a license it should be declared at the customs and will be returned to you on departure. However, wide ranges of alcoholic drinks are available everywhere.
